A Lovely Year of Finishes + Giveaway Winner

I could say that my goal for this month is to finish my city sampler, but I would feel a bit like I’m cheating as it is already finished. You must be sick of hearing that by now, but no honestly it is!!

Here’s a hint:

So instead I thought it would be nice to get started on the bucket list.

At the end of the month very excitingly I am travelling down to the big smoke and meeting with my Strip Bee quilty friends…yay!

My goal is therefore split in two….. Continue reading

New Year Goals – Strip Bee!

I could come up with a million goals for January as there are so many things I’m excited to get on with, but I’m just sticking with one.

A Lovely Year of Finishes

Of course there’s the obligatory City Sampler, that goes without saying, but my *actual* goal is going to be my next Bee Strip strip.

I’m on quilt top no 5 now……..just one more to go before the big swap and great reveal. Eek!!

Anyway, here’s a little peak at the strip for quilt top no 3 Continue reading

A Lovely Year of Finishes – September

Before I get started on the finishes I really must say a couple of big thank yous for some lovely surprises this month.

First, this great bag that Jen aka Glinda Quilts made for my little girl. Isn’t it gorgeous? I happened to mention she liked one of the fabrics and in super fast time the bag was waiting for me my daughter complete with said fabric.

This was another hit with little O and as she’s just started dance classes it’s perfect for her kit. So thanks very much Jen!

Then, on top of this, today I checked my emails to find that…..shock of all shocks….I’d won a giveaway! Seriously I have never won anything in my life, but thanks to the lovely Teje @ Nero’s Post and Patch that’s changed…yipee!

I now have $20 to spend at Pink Chalk Fabrics which makes me VERY happy….good times!!

(Plus if you haven’t seen Teje’s Forest quilt you really should check it out, it’s beautiful).

Annnd *deep breath* keep an eye on my blog over the next week because I will be hosting my very own giveaway to celebrate reaching 100+ followers. Continue reading

Back on Track – A lovely Year of Finishes

So I missed last month. Nevermind. There were too many other things happening and linking up just wasn’t a realistic prospect so I let it go and felt the better for it.

Now I am raring to go and have many things to add to the finishes list. These would be:

  • Keeping up with the City Samplers

A Lovely Year of Finishes (and Starts!) – July Goals

I think this month is going to include more starts than finishes. There are lots of things I want to have a go at getting on with especially as the summer holidays are fast approaching which means fewer hours to play (in the crafty sense).

My main finish goal will be, of course, the next lot of City Sampler blocks. I’m happy to say I have caught up and even had my blocks done for the week on Monday..oh yes!
