That’s right it’s City Sampler update time…three more down and I’m a quarter of the way though, woo!

Slow Progress!
I don’t know why but I haven’t got very far this week, or at least that’s how it feels. I’ve no excuse really only that I’ve had other things to do….oh and there’s been maybe a hint of laziness!
I have managed to finish another three City Sampler blocks though and I think I like them the best of all…plus they are all the perfect size, phew!
I added a bit of yellow to these blocks….I was intending to use a more mustardy yellow, but I couldn’t find enough fabrics in that colour, although in reality it’s probably just that I don’t really do muted colours much. It’s not that I don’t like them, just that colour always calls to me!
At first I wasn’t sure about the yellow, but after making them up I think it works fine and gives a nice little lift to the blocks.

A Lovely Year of Finishes – Fresh Start for June
I think I’ve been having a bit of a relapse this week after all the excitement of finishing my quilt…. been sooo tired in the evenings. This is probably made worse by my inablilty to go to bed before midnight. I don’t know why but I seem to find it physically impossible to do so!
Anyway because of this I’ve been planning my next projects instead. To help me along I ordered these which arrived yesterday…
